(Wood Dale, IL, March 2, 2010) – The Restoration Leadership Institute (RLI), a leader in providing value-added training opportunities to the property damage restoration industry, announced today that it will be hosting its very first IICRC Commercial Drying Specialist Course, March 8-12.

Commercial Drying Specialist (CDS) is an advanced drying specialist and management course. During the course, students will learn how to: evaluate commercial structures including industrial and complex residential facilities, improve their inspection techniques, understand advanced psychrometric concepts; appropriately use large equipment and generators, and better manage a large drying project. The goal of this course is for students to be proficient in the drying process for a commercial or complex structure.

Students who attend the Restoration Leadership Institute CDS class receive a hands-on experience that includes setting-up a large commercial desiccant and genset, and walking through a hypothetical hotel damage with a real hotel engineer.

The class will be taught by Ken Larsen, CR, WLS, Director of Education for the Restoration Leadership Institute. Larsen will be accompanied by Todd Bradley, C.E.M., an approved IICRC guest instructor.

The CDS course will be held at the RLI Training Facility in Wood Dale, IL, a suburb of Chicago, and will last from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Visit www.restorationleadership.com for more information.
