NEW ORLEANS -- The National Disaster Reconstruction Expo & Conference at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, La., June 17-18, opened its doors for the first time Wednesday, welcoming exhibitors and attendees from across North America.

Billed as “a new forum where everyone associated with the disaster industry can convene to discuss issues across industry segments,” the inaugural event featured a diverse cross-section of organizations and presenters, from the US Army Corps of Engineers and FEMA to the AidMatrix Foundation and the Restoration Industry Association.

Wednesday’s seminars and sessions included “How to Handle Free Estimates” from Business Networks’ Les Cunningham and “Interpreting an EPA Label” from Benefect’s Bill Coy.

Water Out’s Kelly Cressy looked at “After the Disaster – Incompentence and Fraud: The Importance of Using Experts” while “Bacteria Application From In-Place Drying” got a thorough exam from RestCon Evironmental’s Jim Holland. 

The exhibition hall showcased the latest offerings from industry-leading companies like Therma-Stor; Sunbelt Rentals; Interlink Supply; Ebac Industrial Products; Dri-Eaz; Anabec, Inc., Benefect and more.
