The Independent Mitigation And Cleaning/Conversation (IMACC) recently held its 2012 Conference, “Everyone Wins,” at the Motor City Casino Hotel in Detroit, Mich.

  Over 500 restoration, mitigation, reconstruction contractors and insurance professionals were on hand for the educational conference and trade show of 47 suppliers.

  The program included more than a half-dozen breakout sessions on a variety of Xactware applications. Other sessions included marketing and business development ideas, ethics conflicts and environmental risk management.

Detroit Mayor Dave Bing was the keynote speaker, and was invited to give awards to a number of inner city youths, ages 17-21, who participated in Project InVest, which introduced them to the skills required for success in the insurance industry and sparked interest in the advanced career opportunities within the field.

  Conference Coordinator Kathy Crotty said she was very pleased with the attendance and the onsite feedback from attendees and suppliers alike.
