When Restoration & Remediation was created more than a decade ago, the purpose was pretty obvious: education for property loss contractors. Today, the brand has grown from a solely print magazine into a wide-ranging print and digital brand with nearly 20,000 monthly subscribers and a large online presence through our website, eBlasts, and social media pages.

Last year, we decided to expand further, and launched Preparing to Respond. Again, the purpose of this launch was on education – since that is what R&R has been about from the very beginning! And we are SO excited to share the event will be returning in 2019!

Preparing to Respond is all about bringing in high-caliber industry experts and experienced contractors to educate restorers on how to effectively respond to large disasters. This is not all about traveling to these catastrophic weather events, although that’s certainly an element of the conference. CAT losses can happen anywhere, year-round, including our own back yards. Perhaps it’s a Nor’Easter affecting New England causing a massive influx in calls about frozen pipes and roof collapses. Or, it’s a tornado outbreak in the Great Plains. Likewise, wildfires continue to ravage California and other western states, forcing contractors in those areas to scale up their businesses quickly to address needs in their local communities.

This conference is for everyone who wants to know how to scale their business when disaster strikes, close to home or far away.

This year, Preparing to Respond will cover more topics than ever, each specifically targeted for the niche disaster restoration audience. Along with experts on drying, estimating, and logistics, we will be covering safety concerns and how to those expenses on your estimates, odor removal, liability of CAT work, NFIP claims, and more!

The entire R&R team is looking forward to seeing you at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio on the San Antonio River Walk this July!

Cheers,

Michelle
