HighGround Restoration Group, Inc., a portfolio company of Trivest Partners LP, has acquired Expert Water Removal. Expert Water Removal is a property damage restoration company serving West Florida, with headquarters in Bradenton, Florida. The company provides emergency property damage restoration for property management, home builders, insurance carriers, HVAC companies, plumbers, and residential and commercial property owners throughout the Tampa Bay area, Sarasota, and Ft. Meyers.

Current President Barry Nicks, Jr., founded the company in 2006 after his first-hand experience with personal loss due to water damage.

“Expert Water Removal represents everything we could ask for in a partner brand,” said HighGround CEO Ben Balsley. “Barry and his team have done well by doing good for customers, employees, and referral partners. Adding Expert Water Removal in our Florida market is a force multiplier for HighGround.”

By joining the HighGround platform, Expert Water Removal keeps its business model, brand equity, and existing relationships intact, while tapping support, scale, and capital investments from HighGround to fuel growth. This support includes investments into demand generation, equipment, vehicles, technology, recruiting, employee development, and transformational reporting and analytics to streamline performance and identify additional growth opportunities.

“I was really impressed with HighGround’s leadership team and their accomplishments in growth and value generation with their existing brand platform,” Nicks said. “I felt they were the right partner for Expert Water Removal to continue delivering high quality property damage cleanup and repair services in our expanding markets. Their focus on strengthening founder-led brands fits well with our personal touch restoration services that our customers have depended on for the last 16 years.”
