K-tech Kleening & Restoration in Weston, Wis., welcomed volunteers on December 17 and 18 to assist K-tech Charities with their annual distribution of 400 food baskets. Baskets were set up and filled with non-perishable items on Friday afternoon with the help of volunteers, including players and parents from the DC Everest High School hockey team. Even more volunteers joined in on Saturday to complete the baskets by adding perishable food items, after which they loaded vehicles and made the deliveries.

K-tech’s Holiday Food Basket donations began in 2004 with 25 baskets and has grown through the years, as have the needs of underserved families in Marathon County.  Due to the increasing needs, K-tech began holding annual fundraising events throughout the year to help fund the baskets, and also provide financial assistance to many local charitable organizations.

K-tech Kleening and the Kersemeier family have built and sustained a long history of local charitable giving and volunteerism. As a small business in Central Wisconsin, the K-tech management team committed early on in the company’s history to supporting local community organizations through donations and volunteer activity.
