Standards Updates

IICRC Draft Standards Available for Public Review:

• “BSR-IICRC S500 Standard and Reference Guide for Professional Water Damage Restoration” is available for the third round of public review and comment as part of a 30-day public review period. All comments must be submitted using a completed Comment Form at http://www.iicrc.org/standards/iicrc-s500/. IICRC S500 provides a specific set of practical standards for water damage restoration. It does not attempt to teach comprehensive water damage restoration procedures; rather, it provides the foundation for basic principles of proper restoration practices.

Global Resource Center Renovations

Major renovations are currently underway at the IICRC’s Global Resource Center in Las Vegas - both inside and outside of the building. The main meeting room is being expanded to more than 3,000 square feet to allow for future symposiums and certification council meetings. The facility changes will also allow for a separate space for training classes, a future museum and an industry hall of fame.
