The Consumer Federation of America says Hurricane Irene's wind damage may total about $5 billion and flooding $2 billion. Total damage could reach $20 billion. That translates into thousands upon thousands of home repairs and insurance settlements.

As the waters recede and the cleanup continues,there is concern about another type of danger flooding the area.

"Businesses that are 'storm chasers.' They show up at your door in unmarked trucks and they say, 'hey, we'll fix and cut down the broken trees, fix up the roof,' and they'll do it for half the price of anybody else," says Walter Brewster of the Better Business Bureau. From NY1.
