Tulsa BBB takes aim at duct-cleaning
October 7, 2010
In the Oct. 7 issue of Tulsa World, responding to the
question, “Is it true homeowners should have their heating and air ductwork
vacuumed out for health reasons?” Rick Brinkley, president and CEO of the Tulsa
Better Business Bureau, had this to say:
The HVAC Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Association, otherwise known as NADCA, was formed in 1989 as a professional association for companies engaged in the cleaning of HVAC systems. With more than 1,400 members, NADCA promotes source removal as the only acceptable method of cleaning, and supports members' success with standards, education, certification, marketing, and advocacy.
