Paul Davis Restoration's Brainerd awarded IICRC ASD certification

January 7, 2010

Jacksonville, FL – January 7, 2010 - Paul Davis Restoration, Inc., a national franchise company and leading provider of fire and water damage clean up and restoration services for residential and commercial properties, has announced that Bryan Brainerd, Paul Davis Restoration’s Director of Emergency Services, has been approved by the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) as an Applied Structural Drying (ASD) instructor. According to J. “Sonny” Bass, the company’s director of technical services and an IICRC ASD certified instructor, Brainerd is one of only 17 ASD instructors in the country and among an elite group of highly trained professionals who hold the distinct designation.

Brainerd educates Paul Davis Restoration office owners and staff along with insurance professionals about the cost effective and time saving benefits of using ASD methods in drying water-damaged structures and contents. Brainerd instructs students through the hands-on use of instruments, extraction systems, drying equipment and chemistry in an actual flooded building located within the company’s National Training Center in Jacksonville, Florida.

Along with Brainerd’s role as ASD instructor, he will serve as the Operations Manager for Paul Davis Emergency Services. He will guide franchise office owners to follow company compliance and industry standards in emergency mitigation, disaster response and drying practices, among others.

According to Bass, Brainerd’s ASD designation will help Paul Davis offices achieve and maintain the industry’s highest standards in drying methods while sharing the company’s expertise with the insurance industry.
