Aramsco has announced their immediate offering of Lead RRP certification classes for contractors in the Delaware Valley.

Aramsco has announced their immediate offering of Lead RRP certification classes for contractors in the Delaware Valley (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware), with additional classes rolling out in the weeks to come. Training and certification will be administered through Al Spec, Inc., in conjunction with Seagull Environmental Management, a federally-certified trainer.

Aramsco’s Lead RRP Certification classes are EPA/HUD approved and will comply with Section 402 of TSCA for the Certified Renovator. Each eight-hour course will comprise classroom activity and a minimum of two hours of "hands-on" training, as required by the EPA under the RRP rule. Each student that successfully satisfies the EPA/HUD requirements in this course, and passes the examination at the end of the class, will receive a certification card within 14 days from the class date.

The new EPA Lead Safety regulation specifically addresses renovation and repair work in any pre-1978 home, childcare facility, or school. It holds all contractors responsible for obtaining certification, and for using specific tools, equipment, and supplies. Training, certification, and work-practice requirements in the Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule go into effect April 22.
