Columbia, MD – The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) will hold its 65th Annual Convention & Exhibition from March 23-27, 2010, at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta on Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Ga.
The organization has issued a Call for Presentations from individuals who would like to speak at the event. Proposed presentations may run anywhere from 50-90 minutes and should relate to environmental, textiles/floor coverings, property damage repair and restoration, or business issues. RIA encourages all presenters to emphasize health and safety issues where possible.
“RIA has a reputation for providing new ideas, trends and concepts at its Convention,” said RIA President Jeff Jones, CRS. “We recognize that education is crucial to keeping our members and attendees abreast of critical issues and challenging their ways of thinking on a variety of topics. We want to prepare them for what may be on the horizon for the industry.”
Presenters are encouraged to submit a 50-75 word overview of their session that identifies the learning objectives, offers a description of the overall value of the presentation to the audience, and details why individuals should participate in or attend the session. A short bio on the speaker should also be included. Deadline for submissions is Monday, June 8th.
For more information, speakers may contact Cynthia Hereth, director of certification and education, at chereth@restorationindustry.org or phone the education hotline at (443) 878-1000.
