EmLab P&K, a Test America company, and Philders Group Intl., Inc., have formed a strategic alliance to create RAP.

RAP or Risk Assessment Program will address infection control protocol for construction in healthcare facilities as a means and method for best practices. 5,000-7,000 people die annually as a result of infections caused by improper containment of airborne pathogens during construction, the company said.

These courses will be offered throughout the U.S. in 2010 as workshops and webinars for continuing education credits. The goal is to increase awareness about emerging infectious diseases during healthcare construction and provide tools to reduce risk and manage liability.
