Chelsea is the Vice President at Mihalko’s General Contracting and Mihalko’s Fire & Water Restoration. The business was founded by her father in 1979 as handyman service. Today, Mihalko’s focuses on residential and small commercial remodeling, as well as insurance restoration services. Chelsea joined the family business in 2012 and focused her efforts on reorganizing and growing the business. She brought in new technologies, strategies and process. Since joining the organization, Mihalko’s has earned prestigious awards such as the Big 50 Remodelers, Golden Hammer Top Performer awards for 2014, 2016 and 2019, an award given to the top 300 contractors in the Insurance Industry Network and also the Customer Excellence Award given to the top 36 contractors out of 5,000 in the country. The company has also been featured in Money Magazine.
The restoration industry is one that I like to consider a “fly under the radar” type of industry; one never realizes the depth of it, unfortunately, until they need it. It is then that one sees not just the mitigation and reconstruction skills of the industry, but also the empathetic and emotional characteristics needed to navigate the dynamic waters.
