Did you know that the idea of cleaning for health isn’t new? In fact, it dates back to the 19th century during the Victorian era, when scientists and doctors began understanding how germs spread and how critical hygiene was to preventing disease. This shift in thinking laid the foundation for modern public health.

By the 20th century, the conversation turned indoors. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and health professionals began to realize that indoor air quality (IAQ) could have serious consequences on human health. Dust, pet dander, mold spores, chemical pollutants and fine particles were identified as contributors to allergies, asthma and chronic respiratory problems.

Your Role in Protecting Families

As a Carpet Cleaner, Cleaning Service Provider or Restoration Professional, your mission goes far beyond making a home sparkle.

You're helping families...

  • Breathe easier
  • Live healthier
  • Feel safer inside their homes

Many of the most dangerous health threats in homes — like dust mites, mold spores, VOCs and particulate matter — are invisible but very real. They contribute to everything from mild allergies to serious chronic illnesses.

By embracing a “Cleaning for Health” approach, you become more than a service provider — you become a trusted health ally.

Why "Cleaning for Health" Sets You Apart

  • Differentiate your business from generic cleaning companies
  • Build long-term trust and loyalty with health-conscious families
  • Increase your customer lifetime value with recurring, health-driven services
  • Make a real impact on the lives and well-being of your clients

Here Are the Facts

A 2022 survey by the American Cleaning Institute found that 72% of Americans are more concerned about the cleanliness of their homes than ever before — and health is their #1 motivation, not just appearances.

This growing awareness presents a Major Opportunity.
