Making a Difference for Kids: 1-800-PACK-RAT Supports Red Nose Day

Company mixes fun with raising awareness for a good cause.

May 24, 2016
1-800-PACK-RAT, LLC, is supporting Red Nose Day and its employees are getting involved as well. In addition to a corporate donation, the company’s employees will be donning red noses throughout the month of May and sharing fun photos across social media platforms.

To raise awareness and be a part of this great event, the company purchased red noses for all of its employees at its Wake Forest location and is encouraging them to get a little silly for a good cause. Throughout the month of May, employees have been able to dress up in some Red Nose Day accessories and have their pictures taken. All photos will be released across 1-800-PACK-RAT’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest accounts. The company and employees are also collecting donations and a check will be mailed prior to Red Nose Day on May 26th.

Red Nose Day was started by Comic Relief Inc. in the UK over 25 years ago and is celebrating its second year in the USA. It encourages people to come together, have fun, and make a difference for kids. In the last 25 years, they have raised over $1 billion. This money supports projects that ensure kids are safe, healthy and educated here in the USA and around the world.

“Red Nose Day gives our company the chance to not only support an organization that helps kids in need around the world, but also a chance for our employees to take a minute to come together and have some fun for a good cause” said James Burati, Sr. VP sales and Marketing at 1-800-PACK-RAT. “This is our first year participating as an entire company and we are looking forward to making this an annual event.”

Starting May 16th, 1-800-PACK-RAT will be posting its employees’ photos on social platforms and encourages its customers and friends to do the same.
