DKI to Support the SAFELY OUT Project

March 14, 2011

(Wood Dale, IL, March 14, 2011) – DKI announced today that it has formally signed on to support Citizen Voice's SAFELY OUT Project. The SAFELY OUT Project is a groundbreaking effort designed to protect the vulnerable during disasters. DKI has committed to providing a monetary donation as well as to promote and support the great work that SAFELY OUT is doing.

Citizen Voice's SAFELY OUT project, developed with technical assistance from the Red Cross Sacramento Sierra Chapter, is designed specifically to ensure our most vulnerable citizens, including the disabled, frail seniors, young children and more are protected during a disaster. The project works to raise money so it can deliver SAFELY OUT Kits to the vulnerable across the country.

The SAFELY OUT Kit provides a unique alert and helper system so that a vulnerable person knows that at least three of his or her neighbors have agreed prior to a disaster that they will assist them to safety. SAFELY OUT Kits also enable neighbors to help vulnerable neighbors get out with the critical information needed to reunite them with family or caregivers, alert others of their medical needs and more. The SAFELY OUT Project thus serves as a vital "force multiplier," greatly assisting professional emergency responders with carrying out their difficult and often dangerous duties.

Citizen Voice President Gary Dietrich expressed the organization's enthusiasm for the DKI partnership in this way, "DKI stands out in the restoration industry as a highly reputable, large-scale organization that is known for the quality of its members, and we couldn't be prouder to have them as an important partner in our nationwide expansion of SAFELY OUT."

DKI provides insurance, commercial and residential clients with a variety of services including emergency response, water damage mitigation, fire and contents cleaning, mold remediation, complete reconstruction and much more, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. DKI returns damaged property to its pre-loss condition quickly and efficiently, delivering complete satisfaction to our consumer, insurance, and corporate customers.

“The DKI organization sees first-hand the devastation experienced by property owners who suffer from a disaster. Supporting the hard work of this organization is a natural fit for DKI and we are excited to help deliver more SAFELY OUT Kits to individuals all across the country,” said DKI’s president, Dale Sailer.

To date the SAFELY OUT Project has delivered over 75,000 SAFELY OUT™ Kits to the vulnerable.
