Disaster Kleenup International, Inc. today announced that five companies have been named as finalists for the 2011 Rick Bowers Pinnacle Award.

(Wood Dale, IL, January 17, 2011) – Disaster Kleenup International, Inc., North America's largest disaster restoration contracting organization, today announced that five companies have been named as finalists for the 2011 Rick Bowers Pinnacle Award. Those five companies are Alliance Disaster Kleenup, First Atlantic Restoration, FloodEx Corporation, France & Company, and Kelmann Corporation.

As a DKI Member, shareholder, and board member, Rick Bowers was an integral part of the growth and success of DKI preceding his untimely death in 2005. To honor his memory and contribution to DKI, the Pinnacle Award is presented every year to a DKI Member that exhibited the same skill, commitment, and excellence on a particular restoration project that Rick exhibited day-in and day-out.

The projects are judged by each of DKI’s six chapter vice presidents. Each project that is submitted is evaluated on a variety of criteria including: the ability of the contractor to deliver a high quality outcome with particular attention to cost control, to minimize the dollar value of the loss to the insurer/property owner, to effectively tackle unique challenges in the loss situation, and use professional standards and procedures that can serve as an effective example to its peers. The award will be presented at the Insights 2011 Conference where DKI will hold its annual Member Awards Ceremony.

“The high quality of the projects submitted this year is a very positive reflection of the superior craftsmanship and customer service provided by DKI Members. This year’s finalists have presented quite a challenge for our judges. Each company named a finalist should be very proud of this achievement,” said Dale Sailer, DKI president.
