R&R Technician Award

Welcome to R&R’s annual Technician Award! This year’s award is sponsored by Violand Management Associates. The Technician Award highlights and celebrates a key piece of our industry: technicians. We are honored to provide our industry professionals with the visibility and recognition they deserve for the hard work they do day in and day out. Nominations are open from August 1 – 31, 2025.

NOMINATE A TECHNICIAN

Submission Deadline:
Sunday, August 31, 2025

There is extensive research from the Brookings Institute that shows frontline workers like our technicians tend to have a lower wage than their colleagues. They are also more susceptible to health and safety dangers because they are in the field exposed to a variety of elements. With them being in the field, they face more risks than their peers who are in the office.

Not only are technicians our frontline for the labor-intensive work, they’re the first person the customer physically sees and communicates with, they have a big responsibility to provide acts of service, provide peace of mind and restore not only their property and belongings but their lives.

Winners and runners-up are determined by a panel of industry peers based on the criteria listed below. They will be notified mid-September, and they must have the ability to complete an interview before the end of the month.

The award is presented in person at the Violand Business Planning Retreat, November 13-15 in Charlotte Harbor, FL. The winning technician’s company will receive:

  • Up to two (2) free seats at the retreat.
  • Create a customized and comprehensive strategic plan for 2026 and beyond.
  • Guidance provided by Violand’s Business Coaches.
  • Peer-to-peer networking opportunities.

This is valued at $1,800.

Nomination Criteria

You can nominate anyone who works at any level of the technician field in the restoration and remediation industry who has had an impact in their field and/or within their company, who exhibit qualities such as:

  • Leadership
