PLR ExpoThe 2014 PLR Expo, held from September 30-October 2 in Toronto, built on last year’s success in its second-annual showing to bring together more attendees, exhibitors and education in the disaster restoration industry.

A new addition this year was having the Restoration Contractors Organization of Canada (RCOC) hold its annual general meeting on the pre-conference day. A record crowd was on hand to hear about the direction of this vital organization, and the initiatives it is working on to the benefit of the industry as a whole.

During the conference, attendees were exposed to a diverse set of topics designed to improve their careers and businesses.

“We designed the PLR Expo to be North America’s premier disaster restoration event,” stated Dan Murray, CR, COO of PLR Expo Services. “We are trying new things to create a conference that is completely unique, and which provides knowledge for attendees and exhibitors that that can be used right away in their operations. We are in this industry together.”

Business futurist Jim Carroll and manufacturer and retailer Donald Cooper issued influential keynote speeches and the breakout sessions consisted of diverse topics, providing insight on human resources, sales and technical matters.

Planning is already underway for the 2015 PLR Expo, which will be held from November 17 – 19 at the International Plaza Hotel, in Toronto, Canada. Additional information will be available in early 2015 at www.plrexpo.ca.
