WACO, Texas – (June 16, 2010) – More than a thousand plumbers, electricians, landscapers and air conditioning repairmen will hang up their tool belts and travel to San Antonio June 20-22 to attend The Dwyer Group’s 29th Annual Convention.

The Dwyer Group, parent company for Aire Serv, Glass Doctor, The Grounds Guys, Mr. Appliance, Mr. Electric, Mr. Rooter and Rainbow International, will host its international convention at JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa, bringing together some of the most talented home repair men and women from around the world.

As one of the largest multi-concept franchisors in the world, The Dwyer Group continues to grow its network despite the economy as consumers look to franchising and to the trade services as big demand job sectors and strong career opportunities. With a franchise network of more than 1,500 locations across 13 countries, The Dwyer Group’s combined franchise brands are approaching $800 million in system-wide sales.

“This convention is a time for us to come together, prepare for the future and celebrate our achievements,” said Mike Bidwell, president and chief operating officer of The Dwyer Group. “We’re also excited to introduce our newest concept, The Ground Guys, to the rest of the team and look forward to sharing this experience with them.”

Dina Dwyer-Owens, The Dwyer Group CEO and past Chairwoman of the International Franchise Association, will deliver a keynote speech, followed by Keith Harrell, an acclaimed author and motivational speaker.
