The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) is seeking volunteers to serve on consensus bodies for the development of a new Standard, the BSR/IICRC S900 Standard for Professional Remediation of Illicit Drugs, Cannabis and Nicotine Residue.
This month, the IICRC will exhibit at RIA’s International Restoration Convention & Industry Expo in Palm Springs, Calif., April 5-7 and The Experience Conference & Exhibition in Clearwater Beach, Fla. April 24-26.
The IICRC has opened a public review period for its new draft BSR-IICRC S540 Standard for Trauma and Crime Scene Remediation. The draft S540 Standard is available for public review through Nov. 21.
On April 9, the IICRC’s Certification Council meeting welcomed more than 60 school administrators, instructors and allied affiliates to the Georgia Tech Hotel and Conference Center in Atlanta.
IICRC certification continues to be recognized and recommended by name by many major insurance companies, flooring manufacturers and industry trade groups as the premier credentialing program for the inspection, cleaning and restoration industry.
In early February, the IICRC welcomed Richard Greene as its new president. Prior to joining IICRC, Greene was the CEO of the Painting and Decorating Contractors of America. Greene has more than 20 years of executive management experience leading local, state and national trade associations, primarily focusing his efforts to help and support small businesses.
The Keith Williams Award was created to honor its namesake, an industry pioneer who volunteered his time and technical abilities to the IICRC for many years.
