RIA Releases New Pricing Position Statement, Announces New AGA Advocate Role
The Restoration Industry Association (RIA) has announced the release of the association's Advocacy and Government Affairs (AGA) Pricing Position Statement on New Construction Price Lists. This peer-reviewed, industry position statement addresses the issue of insurance carriers and their partners attempting to apply "new construction" pricing to property damage restoration projects. This statement is designed to serve as a resource for restorers when they are faced with this issue.
"We would like every estimator, whether it be on the carrier side, TPA side or the contractor side, to look at every trade so that it speaks for itself," said Ben Justesen, chair of the AGA Pricing Task Force, during the RIA's latest Industry Briefing via Facebook Live on December 15. "So this is really going to help give you that information to be able to explain to an adjuster or TPA, 'This is why the new construction setting should not be used.'”
