In early May, the IICRC welcomed Randy Rapp as a new Board of Directors member during the Institute’s spring meetings in Las Vegas. A longtime industry veteran, Rapp is currently an associate professor of Building Construction Management at Purdue University where he teaches disaster restoration and reconstruction management courses. He has extensive practical experience in helping both government and commercial organizations recover from natural and manmade disasters. Prior to Purdue University, Rapp worked for Kellogg, Brown & Root, where he served in various managerial and technical support roles in the recovery efforts of Hurricane Katrina and Hurricane Wilma. He was also the project controls manager and deputy program general manager for the Restore Iraqi Oil program. Rapp is a well-known educator and has written many articles and books.
