More than five inches of rain fell in one night in the Flint, MI area in early May, flooding residential housing areas, roads and businesses. And flooding on this large of a scale is sure to have restoration professionals busy. A story in the The Flint Journal and Mlive.com details the work needed to be done on an area apartment complex.

From Mlive.com: “At least 30 cars were completely ruined from at least four or five feet of water, basements and first floors were flooded and power was lost.

Adam Becker, president of Statewide Disaster Restoration, said there have been about 30 vehicles out at the apartment complex since 6 a.m. Friday. The next step is to restore all the buildings that were affected by the water, he said, which includes getting out the water, drying out the apartments and replacing things like drywall and carpeting.

"Some (residents) will be back in tomorrow, some will be back in a month," Becker said.”
