An R&R-worthy press release is information that will help restoration and
remediation contractors do their jobs more profitably and professionally. Press
releases for R&R may be used in print and/or online at www.randrmagonline.com.
R&R also features announcements of general interest to the entire restoration
and remediation industry (company mergers, promotions, etc.).
News and New Technologies – News about manufacturers; distributors;
associations; personnel announcements and announcements of general interest to
the restoration and remediation industry. Here you will also find information
about the latest products, tools, technology and equipment available for the
professional restoration and remediation contractor.
Breaking News – Up-to-the-minute information on the latest news affecting the
industry.
Calendar of Events – Meetings and events of interest to the industry.
Training Track – Training courses and programs available including dates and
locations.
Case Studies – Feature articles detailing a job or project from start to finish.
Any release appropriate for the R&R audience will be accepted for consideration.
There are no guarantees of publication either in print or online. Press releases
submitted to R&R are published according to several factors: reader interest and
service; timeliness; subject matter; space constraints and issue themes. It is
often difficult to estimate the publication date of any press release to
coincide with advertising or other marketing plans.
There are no prerequisites for getting a press release published, including
advertising. So mentioning your advertising plans is not necessary. But, with
the best business-to- business environment in the restoration and remediation
industry, R&R is an excellent medium for your advertising message.
You will not automatically receive the issue that contains your release. R&R
publishes so many items that such a service would be incredibly time-consuming
and expensive.
Items run exclusively on R&R Online at
www.randrmagonline.com run with as much contact information as you supply,
so R&R readers can contact you directly and quickly by phone, fax, mail, e-mail
and/ or your Web site. Items run both in print and online are assigned a reader
service number readers can use to request more information via the Reader Action
Card in the magazine or (even better) through the Online Webcard on our Web
site. These responses/sales leads can be e-mailed to you weekly and/or accessed
online directly with a user name and password that we’ll set up for you. Most
readers will want to contact you directly, however, so it’s a good idea to have
lead-tracking plans in place to ask phone callers and e-mailers where they heard
of you, so that you know it was R&R that prompted the lead.
When submitting a Press Release to R&R, please be sure to include a photo or
(preferably) an electronic image. R&R has strict specifications for electronic
graphics:
Formats – .tiff; .jpg; Photoshop .eps; Illustrator .eps (CS3 or lower);
InDesign CS3 or QuarkXpress 7.0 (please include supporting art & fonts).
Resolution – 300 dpi
Image Size – 6-inches wide minimum (when possible) for case studies or 2 ½
-inches wide for the News and New Technologies section.
E-mailing Files – Please save raster files (photos, etc.) as RGB or grayscale
.jpg in order to compress them. Stuff/Zip folders with
InDesign, Quark or Illustrator files that include fonts and graphics.
