With another round of snowfall expected today on top of that already stacked up on roofs and blocking downspouts and gutters, homeownersmay be wondering if there's something they should be doing about it.

According to national consumers rating service Angie's List, which spoke to several roofing professionals about snow and ice on the roof, homeowners should take a look at the number and size of icicles hanging from gutters. In addition to the potential danger to people or pets who may be standing under them when one of significant size breaks free, they also could be a sign of a serious issue for the home. From the Chillicothe Gazette.
